OUR NEXT CLASSES START:  Wednesday 18th march 2020

Puppy school is a series of 5 classes where our vets and nurses help you to make the most of your new pup.  The focus of the class is to develop a good pup owner relationship, while starting your pup with some basic training skills such as sit, drop, come and stay.  It is also a great way to introduce your pup to other dogs, unusual environments, strange noises, and different people and reduce the chances of developing behavioural problems later in life.

Dogs develop their social skills from 6-16 weeks old, after this age it is difficult for a dog to develop new social behaviours. Puppy school is the perfect time to socialise your pup and avoid difficult social interactions in the future.

Kiama Veterinary Hospital has been running puppy school for over 20 years now, and nurses are continually revising/updating behaviour training techniques to keep inline with current research.

Class numbers are restricted to enable puppies to socialise within their normal social parameters, and to allow sufficient attention to be given to each pup by the trainer. Please call to make a booking, as classes will run on an as-need basis.

5 x 1 hour classes on  Wednesday or Thursday evenings at 7.00 pm (limit 2 people per pup – children under 15 years to be accompanied by an adult & supervised please)
